The Automatic Vehicle Clearance System (車輛e-道自動過關系統)
This system was developed for the Hong Kong Immigration Department. It enables driver and passengers in a truck or private car to cross border checking, without leaving the vehicle, by using smart ID card and finger print scanning. A robot arm, carrying the check in kiosk, will automatically be positioned to the windows of the vehicle when it goes through the check in counter. At that time, it was the first such system in the world.

High Precision Magnetic Levitated Linear Motor (高精準度磁浮線性電動機)
This type of linear motor is based on the switched reluctance principle, it combines the advantages of low cost, high performance, high robustness, and easy to manufacture. Presently this type of motor can achieve sub-micron precision, with more than 4G of acceleration. It is also virtually fiction free. It is an ideal motor for applications in robotics, high precision manufacturing, and IC chips production.

Automation in Hair Sewing (自動化頭髮縫紉機)
Sewing of hair onto flexible plastic is a particular difficult automation process, because the target is a flexible structure, and the hair is difficult to manage during the automatic sewing process. This machine is the first of its kind to tackle this difficult automation process. It is based on the 4 axes (3 linear and 1 rotary) numerical control machine, with fully programmable hair sewing pattern and hair length. Once fully developed, it could replace the skillful hair sewing workers, which is in short supply now.

Many automation processes require two dimensional surface motions which are fast and accurate. Examples are plotters, components insertion, laser cutting and PCB drilling. This invention leads the world by providing an effective and low cost solution which can deliver high speed and high precision programmable motion strokes. It is based on the switched reluctance machine principle, and has a simple and reliable machine structure; it can produce 3G acceleration and deceleration with a precision of one micron (i.e. 0.001 mm).
